Whenever I find something I love, whether it be a song, new recipe or a new catch phrase, I love and need to share it.
Here are five things I am loving right now – two beauty products, a book, a podcast and some music.
NYX Professional Makeup Dream Catcher Eye Shadow Palette I am a makeup snob. While I am not proud of it, it’s true. Most of my makeup is too expensive, but I love it so, so much I cannot resist. That said – I found a ridiculously INEXPENSIVE eye shadow palette with gorgeous colors that last all day long. You an use this ten color palette for an every day look to a night time smokey eye to everything in between. Go get it at Target for $14.99!
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray This product has been around forever, but I’m just starting to use it now. Spray it on and it feels weightless while keeping your makeup on all day or night long. Buy the 1 oz. tester size at Sephora for $15.00 as a great way to test it out.
The Daily I am loving this podcast. When I don’t have time or energy to read the news, I listen to the short headline news when I go for my morning walks. My favorite this week was Monday’s podcast on Bill O’Reilly. Sadly shocking. From the website: “This is how the news should sound. Twenty minutes a day, five days a week, hosted by Michael Barbaro and powered by New York Times journalism.”
Daily Kindness: 365 Days of Compassion The latest in my favorite series of quote books, Daily Kindness is a great way to enter the holiday season. With all that’s going on in the world this year, we could all use daily kindness reminders. Each page has a quote alongside a stunning National Geographic photo. I have several of these books, Daily Gratitude, Daily Peace, Daily Love – all around my house to keep me reflective during the day. Great for you and to give as a gift.
Chance The Rapper Can we just talk about Chance for a second? He’s not new, he’s been around for a while now and I just can’t get enough of him or his music. As a long time rap fan, Chance caught my eye. I really fell in love with him once my 16 year old schooled me on not only his Chicago roots and music, but his activist and philanthropic self. The link to his website above is a great way to hear his fantastic sweet, strong, grammy winning and sexy beats while being introduced to his involvement in social projects.
Watch this video of the newish song ‘May I Have This Dance,” by Francis & The Lights and Chance.
That’s it for my top five! What are you obsessed with lately? Please share in the comments below!
