First day is the easiest

Yesterday was a lovely fall day in Chicago, made lovelier because we gained an hour when we set the clocks back. Many things to be grateful about on Day 1 of 30 Days of Gratitude. I felt excited and exhausted going to bed, knowing I was going to wake up at an ungodly hour easily with plenty of time to get to my workout. Writing in my gratitude journal was a snap. Yesterday, my gratitude focused a lot on family and the moments of the day. Here’s the list from my journal:Photo

On to today, a Monday. My gratitude focus today is about feeling excited. I’m hoping to pull that off because I really don’t want to go to work and be all work-like. Do you need to focus on a type of gratitude? NO. Just pay a bit of attention to your feelings and thoughts today and see how that goes. Try to infuse gratitude in situations that are uncomfortable or just plain annoying. I need a little excitement, so that’s where my focus is today. I’ll let you know how it goes. Did you write in your gratitude journal? What are you thankful for? Tell me in the comments below!
